PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The Seagrass Storage Basket with Handles is a handmade storage piece from Vietnam, designed for buyers who want natural home products with a refined look. Its rectangular shape makes the most of shelf and cabinet space, while the thick coiled seagrass body, white thread detail and woven handles give it a rich, handcrafted texture.

Practical and decorative at once, it works for towels, magazines, kitchen items, toys, blankets and display. For importers and retailers, it offers a clear story: natural material, handmade in Vietnam, and a shape that fits shelves better than round baskets.

MADE IN VIETNAM: THE CRAFT BEHIND EVERY BASKET

Vietnam has a long tradition of working with natural fibers, with skills passed down through families and craft villages. Tan Tien Factory builds on this tradition, working with local artisans who know how to coil, bind and shape natural materials into durable, good-looking home products.

Every basket is shaped by hand. A rectangular form takes skill: the weaver must keep the corners square, the walls straight and the coils even from base to rim. The white thread is wrapped around each coil at regular intervals, so the pattern stays consistent all the way around. The handles are wrapped and stitched separately, then attached by hand. No two pieces are exactly alike, which gives your customers a product with character and a story they can trust.

MATERIAL: SEAGRASS

Seagrass is a natural plant fiber that is harvested, dried and twisted into thick, even strands. Coiled and stitched in tight rows, it forms a firm wall with a warm, textured surface.

Seagrass is renewable and plastic-free, which matches the growing demand from buyers and consumers for eco-friendly home goods. It is also lightweight, so the basket is easy to carry, stack and ship.

THE RECTANGULAR SHAPE

The rectangular form is the practical strength of this design. It sits flush on shelves, under benches, in cabinets and on bathroom counters, with no wasted corner space. The wide, open top makes it easy to reach in and take items out.

It also nests well in storage and in export cartons, which helps buyers control freight cost.

DESIGN DETAILS

The thick coils wrapped with white thread create a bold, rhythmic texture that looks good both close up and from across a room. The natural brown and cream tones suit many interiors.

The firm, framed edge gives the basket a clean finish and a stable shape. Two woven handles, wrapped with white zigzag stitching, add a handcrafted detail and make the basket easy to lift and carry. The neutral palette fits boho, Scandinavian, Japandi, coastal, farmhouse and modern interiors.
