PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The Rattan and Bamboo Storage Basket, Round, Natural, with a Rounded Belly Shape, is a handmade storage piece from Vietnam for buyers who want natural home products with a soft, organic look. Its full, rounded body and warm single-tone finish give it a calm, timeless character that fits easily into almost any interior.

It works as a storage basket, a planter cover, a blanket holder or a decor piece. For importers and retailers, it offers a clear story: natural materials, handmade in Vietnam, and a rounded form that looks softer and more inviting than straight-sided baskets.

MADE IN VIETNAM: THE CRAFT BEHIND EVERY BASKET

Vietnam has a long tradition of working with rattan and bamboo, with skills passed down through families and craft villages. Tan Tien Factory builds on this tradition, working with local artisans who know how to bend, weave and bind natural materials into durable, good-looking home products.

Each basket is shaped by hand. The rounded belly form takes skill: the weaver must widen the body, then bring it back toward the rim, while keeping the weave even and the curve smooth. No two pieces are exactly alike, which gives your customers a product with character and a story they can trust.

MATERIAL: RATTAN AND BAMBOO

Rattan is a strong, flexible climbing palm that is harvested, cleaned, dried and prepared into smooth strands. Bamboo is a fast-growing grass that is split and shaved into slim, even strips. Used together, they give the basket a firm structure, a smooth natural surface and a warm honey tone.

Both materials are renewable and plastic-free, which matches the growing demand for eco-friendly home goods.

THE ROUNDED BELLY SHAPE

The belly shape is the signature of this design. The body curves outward at the middle and tapers softly toward the rim, creating a silhouette that looks more like a decor piece than a plain container.

The shape also has practical value. The wider body gives generous storage space, and the narrower opening helps keep items in place and gives the basket a clean, finished top edge.

DESIGN DETAILS

The rim is finished with a braided rattan band that adds a handcrafted detail and reinforces the edge. Light natural strands are bound into the weave, giving the surface a layered texture that looks good from every angle.

The all-natural tone keeps the look simple and warm. It suits boho, Scandinavian, coastal, farmhouse and modern interiors, and it pairs easily with other natural materials such as wood, linen and cotton.
