PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The Water Hyacinth Storage Basket, Tall Round with Open Weave and Loop Handles, is a handmade storage piece from Vietnam for buyers who want natural home products with a light, airy look. Its tall round body, open weave pattern and graceful loop handles give it a relaxed, boho character that stands out from tightly woven baskets.

Practical and decorative at once, it works for laundry, blankets, towels, plants and display. For importers and retailers, it offers a clear story: natural material, handmade in Vietnam, and a style that is popular with customers looking for coastal, boho and Scandinavian interiors.

MADE IN VIETNAM: THE CRAFT BEHIND EVERY BASKET

Vietnam has a long tradition of weaving natural fibers such as water hyacinth, rattan, bamboo and seagrass, with skills passed down through families and craft villages. Tan Tien Factory builds on this tradition, working with local artisans who turn simple aquatic plants into durable, good-looking home products.

Each basket is shaped by hand. The open weave takes skill, because the weaver must keep the pattern even and the structure firm while leaving gaps between the strands. No two pieces are exactly alike, which gives your customers a product with character and a story they can trust.

MATERIAL: WATER HYACINTH

Water hyacinth is a fast-growing aquatic plant. The stems are harvested, cleaned and sun-dried, then twisted or braided into strong, flexible strands. The result is a soft natural color with a warm, slightly textured surface that suits any room.

Making use of a fast-growing plant gives the product a sustainable story. It is renewable, lightweight and plastic-free, which matches the growing demand for eco-friendly home goods.

THE OPEN WEAVE DESIGN

The open weave is the signature of this basket. The woven pattern leaves decorative openings along the body, giving the basket a light, airy feel and a visible handmade texture.

The openings also add practical value. They let air move through the basket, which helps with items like towels, laundry and blankets, and they reduce the weight of the basket for easy handling. The pattern also casts soft shadows that look attractive in home styling and catalog photos.

DESIGN DETAILS

The tall round shape gives generous storage capacity while keeping a small footprint, so it fits neatly beside a sofa, in a bedroom corner, in a bathroom or in a nursery. The loop handles are woven into the rim, so they feel like part of the design, and they make the basket easy to lift and carry when full.

The natural color fits boho, Scandinavian, coastal, farmhouse and modern interiors, which makes it easy to sell across different decor styles.
