Every basket is shaped by hand. A tall, straight-sided body takes skill: the weaver must keep the coils tight and level, the walls upright and the opening true, so that the lid sits flat and fits well. The colored stripes must stay even all the way around. The hand holes are shaped and reinforced with stitching so the edges stay clean and strong under load. The lid is made separately, then fitted to the body. No two pieces are exactly alike, which gives your customers a product with character and a story they can trust.

MATERIAL: SEAGRASS

Seagrass is a natural plant fiber that is harvested, dried and twisted into thick, even strands. Coiled and stitched in tight rows, it forms a firm wall with a warm, textured surface. The strands are wrapped with colored and white thread, which creates the soft pink, sage and natural bands of this basket.
