Vietnam has a long tradition of working with natural fibers, with skills passed down through families and craft villages. Tan Tien Factory builds on this tradition, working with local artisans who know how to coil, bind and shape natural materials into durable, good-looking home products.

Every basket is shaped by hand. A tall body with a multicolor design takes real skill. The weaver must keep the coils tight and even, change thread colors at exactly the right rows, and plan each color block so the pattern stays balanced around the body. The lid is more demanding still: the colors radiate outward from the center in wedges, so each section must meet cleanly. The lid and its knob are made separately, then fitted to the body. No two pieces are exactly alike, which gives your customers a product with character and a story they can trust.

MATERIAL: SEAGRASS

Seagrass is a natural plant fiber that is harvested, dried and twisted into thick, even strands. Coiled and stitched in tight rows, it forms a firm wall with a warm, textured surface. The strands are wrapped with colored thread, which creates the white, black, terracotta, mint and mustard bands and blocks on this basket.

Seagrass is renewable and plastic-free, which matches the growing demand from buyers and consumers for eco-friendly home goods. It is also lightweight for its size, so the basket is easy to move and ship.

THE TALL ROUND SHAPE WITH LID
