MADE IN VIETNAM: THE CRAFT BEHIND EVERY BASKET

Vietnam has a long tradition of working with natural fibers, with skills passed down through families and craft villages. Tan Tien Factory builds on this tradition, working with local artisans who know how to coil, bind and shape natural materials into durable, good-looking home products.

Every basket is shaped by hand. A zigzag pattern on a curved body takes real skill. The weaver must change color at exactly the right rows, keep each diagonal line clean and make the pattern flow from the body onto the lid. The coils must stay tight and even so the lid sits flat and fits properly. The lid, knob and handles are made separately, then fitted by hand. No two pieces are exactly alike, which gives your customers a product with character and a story they can trust.

MATERIAL: SEAGRASS

Seagrass is a natural plant fiber that is harvested, dried and twisted into thick, even strands. Coiled and stitched in tight rows, it forms a firm wall with a warm, textured surface. The white thread wrapped around the coils adds a fine, rhythmic detail, and the natural variation in the fiber creates the soft grey and golden tones of this basket.

Seagrass is renewable and plastic-free, which matches the growing demand from buyers and consumers for eco-friendly home goods. It is also lightweight, so the basket is easy to carry and ship.

THE ROUND SHAPE WITH DOME LID

The full body with a slightly narrower top is the practical strength of this design.
