PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The Small Seagrass Storage Basket with Lid is a handmade storage piece from Vietnam, designed for buyers who want natural home products with a soft, handcrafted look. Its rounded body is coiled in natural seagrass and wrapped in white thread, with blue strands running through the weave to create a fine striped effect. A fitted lid with a woven knob top keeps contents covered and tidy.

Compact and decorative at once, it works for small items, cosmetics, sewing supplies, toys, remote controls, snacks and display. For importers and retailers, it offers a clear story: natural material, handmade in Vietnam, and a fresh blue and natural palette that stands out from plain baskets on the shelf.

Made in Vietnam: The Craft Behind Every Basket

Vietnam has a long tradition of working with natural fibers, with skills passed down through families and craft villages. Tan Tien Factory builds on this tradition, working with local artisans who know how to coil, bind and shape natural materials into durable, good-looking home products.

Every basket is shaped by hand. A rounded body with a matching lid takes skill: the weaver must curve the coils evenly from the base up to the rim, keeping the stitches tight, and make sure the lid sits snugly. The blue and white thread is stitched row by row so the pattern stays even. The knob on top is wrapped and finished by hand. No two pieces are exactly alike, which gives your customers a product with character and a story they can trust.

Material: Seagrass

Seagrass is a natural plant fiber that is harvested, dried and twisted into thick, even strands. Coiled and stitched in tight rows, it forms a firm wall with a warm, textured surface. White thread running through the coils adds a fine, rhythmic detail, and blue-toned strands create the soft striped effect.

Seagrass is renewable and plastic-free, which matches the growing demand from buyers and consumers for eco-friendly home goods. It is also lightweight for its size, so the basket is easy to carry and ship.

The Lidded Round Shape

The softly rounded body gives useful storage space in a compact footprint. The fitted lid with a knob keeps dust out, hides clutter and makes the basket easy to open and close. The clean outline looks more like a decor piece than a plain container, so it works well on shelves, dressers, bathroom counters and desks.

Design Details

The blue and natural striped weave is the signature of this basket. The blue strands give a simple material a fresh, coastal character, while the white thread keeps the look light and handcrafted. The knob on the lid adds a neat, finished detail. The palette suits coastal, Scandinavian, Japandi, boho, farmhouse and modern interiors.
