PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The Large Seagrass Storage Basket with Lid is a handmade storage piece from Vietnam, designed for buyers who want natural home products with a soft, handcrafted look. Its full, rounded body is coiled in natural seagrass and wrapped in white thread, with pastel pink, soft yellow and mint green panels forming a geometric pattern around the sides. A pink rim frames the opening, and a fitted conical lid with a knob top, decorated with matching colors, keeps contents covered and tidy. Built-in handle openings on both sides make it easy to lift and move.

Practical and decorative at once, it works for laundry, blankets, toys, cushions and display. For importers and retailers, it offers a clear story: natural material, handmade in Vietnam, and a soft pastel pattern that stands out from plain baskets on the shelf.

Made in Vietnam: The Craft Behind Every Basket

Vietnam has a long tradition of working with natural fibers, with skills passed down through families and craft villages. Tan Tien Factory builds on this tradition, working with local artisans who know how to coil, bind and shape natural materials into durable, good-looking home products.

Every basket is shaped by hand. A large rounded body with a matching lid takes skill: the weaver must widen the belly, then bring it back in toward the rim, keeping the coils tight and even, and make sure the lid sits snugly. The pink, yellow and mint panels are planned row by row so each angle lines up cleanly, and the pattern on the lid is matched to the body. The handle openings are cut and reinforced with white thread by hand. No two pieces are exactly alike, which gives your customers a product with character and a story they can trust.

Material: Seagrass

Seagrass is a natural plant fiber that is harvested, dried and twisted into thick, even strands. Coiled and stitched in tight rows, it forms a firm wall with a warm, textured surface. White thread running through the coils adds a fine, rhythmic detail, and colored thread creates the pastel geometric pattern.

Seagrass is renewable and plastic-free, which matches the growing demand from buyers and consumers for eco-friendly home goods. It is also lightweight for its size, so the basket is easy to carry and ship.

The Round Belly Shape with Lid

The body curves outward at the middle and narrows slightly toward the opening. This gives generous storage space while keeping a clean, finished top edge. The fitted lid with a knob keeps dust out and hides clutter, and the built-in handle openings let you carry the basket without handles that stick out. The soft outline looks more like a decor piece than a plain container.

Design Details

The pastel geometric panels are the signature of this basket. Pink, soft yellow and mint green sit against the creamy natural body like gentle brushstrokes, giving a simple material a fresh, modern character. The pattern continues onto the lid, so the basket looks complete as a set. The palette suits boho, Scandinavian, Japandi, coastal, farmhouse, nursery and modern interiors.
