PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The Seagrass Storage Basket is a handmade storage piece from Vietnam, designed for buyers who want natural home products with a refined look. Its wide rectangular body offers generous capacity, while the thick coiled seagrass in deep olive-brown tones, light-colored framed edges, two carry handles and four swivel wheels make it easy to store and easy to move.

Practical and decorative at once, it works for laundry, blankets, towels, toys, cushions, firewood and display. It comes in two sizes, so buyers can offer a large and a medium option from one design. For importers and retailers, it offers a clear story: natural material, handmade in Vietnam, and a rolling basket that is more useful than a standard hamper.

MADE IN VIETNAM: THE CRAFT BEHIND EVERY BASKET

Vietnam has a long tradition of working with natural fibers, with skills passed down through families and craft villages. Tan Tien Factory builds on this tradition, working with local artisans who know how to coil, bind and shape natural materials into durable, good-looking home products.

Every basket is shaped by hand. A wide rectangular form takes skill: the weaver must keep the corners square, the long walls straight and the coils tight and even from base to rim. The frame must also be built strongly enough to carry the weight of a full load once the wheels are attached. The handles and wheels are fitted by hand. No two pieces are exactly alike, which gives your customers a product with character and a story they can trust.

MATERIAL: SEAGRASS

Seagrass is a natural plant fiber that is harvested, dried and twisted into thick, even strands. Coiled and stitched in tight rows, it forms a firm wall with a warm, textured surface. The natural variation in the fiber gives this basket its deep mix of olive, brown and golden tones.

Seagrass is renewable and plastic-free, which matches the growing demand from buyers and consumers for eco-friendly home goods. It is also lightweight for its size, so even a large basket is easy to handle.

THE WIDE RECTANGULAR SHAPE ON WHEELS

The wide, low-profile body is the practical strength of this design. It holds bulky items such as blankets, laundry, cushions, toys and firewood, and fits neatly under consoles, beside sofas, along walls and in bedrooms or hallways. The wide opening makes it easy to put items in and take them out.

Four swivel wheels let the user roll the basket across the floor instead of lifting it. This is helpful for heavy loads, for moving laundry from room to room, and for people who prefer not to carry. Two handles are still included for lifting when needed.

TWO SIZES, ONE DESIGN

• Large (L): more capacity for bedding, family laundry and bulky throws

• Medium (M): a more compact size for bathrooms, kids’ rooms, bedside corners and smaller spaces

The two sizes share the same design, so they look coordinated when placed together. Retailers can sell them as a matching pair or let customers choose by space.

DESIGN DETAILS

The dense, beaded texture of the thick coils gives the body a rich, tactile surface. The deep olive-brown tone contrasts with the lighter, framed rim and base, which adds depth and a clean, finished edge. Darker tones also help hide marks from floors and everyday use. The black wheels sit under the base frame and stay discreet.

Two woven handles on the short sides make the basket easy to lift and carry. The palette fits boho, Scandinavian, Japandi, farmhouse, industrial and modern interiors.
