PRODUCT OVERVIEW

The Rattan and Bamboo Storage Basket with a Round Belly Shape is a handmade storage piece from Vietnam, designed for buyers who want natural home products with a refined look. Its full, rounded body gives it a soft, sculptural shape, while the natural rattan and bamboo tones sit above a dark base for a grounded, two-tone finish.

Practical and decorative at once, it works for laundry, blankets, toys, plants and display. For importers and retailers, it offers a clear story: natural materials, handmade in Vietnam, and a shape that stands out from straight-sided baskets on the shelf.

MADE IN VIETNAM: THE CRAFT BEHIND EVERY BASKET

Vietnam has a long tradition of working with rattan and bamboo, with skills passed down through families and craft villages. Tan Tien Factory builds on this tradition, working with local artisans who know how to bend, weave and bind natural materials into durable, good-looking home products.

Every basket is shaped by hand. The round belly form takes skill: the weaver must widen the body, then bring it back in toward the rim, while keeping the weave even and the shape balanced. No two pieces are exactly alike, which gives your customers a product with character and a story they can trust.

MATERIAL: RATTAN AND BAMBOO

Rattan is a strong, flexible climbing palm that is harvested, cleaned, dried and prepared into smooth strands. Bamboo is a fast-growing grass that is split and shaved into slim, even strips. Together, they give the basket a firm structure, a smooth natural surface and a warm color that deepens gently with time.

Both materials are renewable and plastic-free, which matches the growing demand from buyers and consumers for eco-friendly home goods.

THE ROUND BELLY SHAPE

The belly shape is the signature of this design. The body curves outward at the middle and tapers back toward the rim, creating a soft silhouette that looks more like a decor piece than a plain container.

This shape also has practical value. The wider body gives generous storage space, and the narrower opening helps hold items in place and gives the basket a clean, finished top edge.

DESIGN DETAILS

The natural upper body is paired with a dark base. This contrast adds depth and a modern touch, and the darker color at the bottom helps hide marks from floors and everyday use. The braided and twisted trim along the rim adds a handcrafted detail and reinforces the edge.

The natural and dark tones fit boho, Scandinavian, coastal, farmhouse and modern interiors, which makes the basket easy to sell across different decor styles.
